Who??
You may wonder as to who could intentionally hurt a 4 yr old little boy…
A person I find despicable and with no core moral fiber. He still doesn’t admit any wrongdoing… yet I know. My son says… and my son is highly intelligent and I take his word first. More intelligent than fuck-hole gave him credit for. I am sure he was banking on my son’s speech delay…
My son was brutally beaten by Austin Joshua Peterson. A 31 yr old Henderson/Las Vegas, NV resident.
Let this be a warning to anyone who comes in contact with him. Your children are not safe.

Delighted you called him out by name. Your son has the advantage of having a wonderful mother well educated in the mental/trauma arts (I have to look at it as an art now, to create some distance, to keep from total entanglement) in his own healing.
I’m only at the beginning. Don’t mind me if I keep commenting.

I love your comments… thank you.
And I will always call that person out by name… he hurt my son primarily and the rest of us in the wake of it. Thank God he is now in prison for unrelated charges, but it keeps him there for 13 more years I believe.

Excellent.
Eventually I suppose I’ll get to my own marital horrors, but I am so sorry for what you experienced. When I was going through my divorce (also married man I met at 17, 2 daughters by 21, quit school) after 15 years, my boss was still in the throes of her own & she INSISTED that I do NOTHING without a lawyer.
I said “he loves us, nothing will happen, it will be fine.”
She said “Jill, you don’t know him. You can’t really know anyone, particularly when they’re under strain.”
She was so right. So, yeah, you trust someone, the man you’ve spent your whole life with, & they burn you. Then the next one uses you. The things you think you know & the devastation caused when you don’t. Hugs.
One thing I will say about parenting, having been at the back end, like you, of both angles – I found I needed my parents much more when I was older. They weren’t there at either stage, but it would have been much better for me as an adult. Childhood molds you & all, but the needs of adult children are much more complex. And if you can manage those with dexterity – you’re better than you could have hoped.
Sorry to go on for so long. Love your poetry & the imagery is beautiful too. Do you use your own photos or are we allowed to use images on the web? With Pinterest there is growing controversy about copyright. I want to incorporate more & make my site more visually rich, but I wasn’t sure whether there were rules. I suppose I can always find something within my own collection. But yours are SOOOO lovely & evocative!

As far as the pictures go, I use a public site that is like a photo-sharing site. I just browse the pictures and then when I can, I link back to the original poster of the picture/art. I use visualizeus.com. The only pictures that are mine are in recent posts with my children. ♥
