Decorate My Own Soul
Plant your own garden and decorate your own soul, instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers.
Veronica A. Shoffstall
My yearning soul, waiting.
Ever so patient,
To grow the strength,
To travel the distance…
Quench my appetency to love me.
I want to disencumber this fervent need,
For acceptance from an external source.
To “decorate my own soul”.
From the cracks in my heart, grow…
My own garden, from my being,
A beauty, strength, a love that embraces
The grace of me.

Very thhought prevoking…
It’s so hard to just enjoy your self, instead of waiting and hoping that others to appreciate and accept you…

Thank you… learning to love self is the hardest love for me to find, so I look for it from outside sources. I want to change it.
Thank you for reading!

A beautiful quote and a beautiful poem. The biggest step is realizing there are no cracks or defects. We often just think there from comparing ourselves to others, which we should never do. Once you fully understand and accept that you’ll never be better than anyone else, just like you’ll never be less, everything starts looking more balanced and leveled. You are not anyone else, you are you, and you’re here to do the best you can with what you’ve been given, just as everyone else is.
Peace & grace,
~Miro

Beautiful words Miro. I do often forget that I must not compare myself to anyone else. It is something I have “learned” just have not put it into practice as I need to.
Your comments are inspiring, and come at the perfect moments… I thank you friend.
